Employer questions
Questions San Antonio employers ask before engaging a legal recruiter.
How long does a legal placement take?
BEGHR’s published placement timeframe is 23 to 35 days from the signed engagement. The role, compensation range, admission requirements and your team’s interview availability determine the actual date for a specific search.
What does legal recruiting cost compared with a contingency recruiter?
BEGHR’s legal placement fee is roughly 50% less than contingency recruiters, who typically charge a salary-based fee at close. The pricing form returns a role-specific estimate; the fee, milestones and payment terms are confirmed in your client agreement.
How does milestone billing work?
Agree the role, estimated fee range, billable milestones and payment terms before the search begins. Billing starts after applicants are sent, under the agreed milestone plan, with invoices at least monthly during billable service delivery. BEGHR handles client billing and account questions.
Do we pay if the search does not result in a hire?
Milestone billing pays for agreed work as the search progresses, so completed billable milestones may be payable without a placement. Your client agreement specifies the billing triggers, amounts, due dates and any cancellation terms.
What guarantee applies to a legal placement?
A 45-day replacement guarantee applies: if the hire leaves within 45 days, BEGHR re-runs the search under the terms of the engagement. Repeat hires for the same role are 50% off. Confirm conditions and exclusions in your agreement.
Does BEGHR verify bar admission?
No. The employer verifies admission, good standing and any discipline through the State Bar of Texas and, for court-facing roles, the Bexar County Courts. BEGHR confirms what the candidate reports and flags gaps, but the official record is the only authority.
Is BEGHR a legal staffing agency?
No. BEGHR supports permanent direct-hire placement. The employer decides whom to hire and employs the person directly. BEGHR does not supply temporary or contract attorneys or paralegals.
What should be ready before contacting a recruiter?
The work the hire will own, the actual office and schedule, the reporting line, essential experience, the compensation range and the people who will make the decision. An incomplete brief can start a discussion, but it should not be presented as settled.
Does an inquiry create a recruiting engagement?
No. An inquiry begins a discussion. BEGHR and the employer agree scope, fee, candidate ownership, screening responsibilities and other commercial terms in a written client agreement before any search work starts.
Can we submit candidate resumes or client information through the form?
No. The form is for employer hiring inquiries only. Do not submit candidate resumes, client confidences, protected health information or other sensitive personal information.
